Abstract
In this presentation the speaker will give an introduction to the GM product cybersecurity organization and the efforts that is being undertaken by this organization to drive a better product cybersecurity posture. Many various interesting aspects will be discussed in the presentation, e.g., vehicle cybersecurity ecosystem, connected vehicle attack surfaces, external industry/academia collaborations, security vulnerability disclosure program, challenges for the automotive industry, future research directions, and automotive cybersecurity talents, etc. Come and join up for a very informative session!About the Speaker
Di Jin is the Advanced Development Leader in the GM Product Cybersecurity organization where he works with GM R&D and engineering teams and external experts on cybersecurity advanced development. His responsibilities include forward looking technology roadmap, advanced technology projects, collaborating with industry and academia on cybersecurity advanced development and research, participating in consortia and standardization activities to drive automotive cybersecurity advancements and standards, etc. Prior to joining GM, he worked as the Senior Security Technical Specialist at Chrysler on defining better security solutions and strategies. Di started his industrial career from working as the Lead Security Engineer at GM OnStar. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma in Electrical and Computer Engineering with focus on communications security.
