Research Areas

My research interests center around high performance computing and networking on the operating system and middleware layers. In the last several years, I have focused on grid computing, distributed and parallel file systems, and improving end-to-end network performance for scientific applications operating on very fast wide area networks. My current research is on improving end-to-end TCP performance on multipath networks, and exploring the use of reconfigurable computing components (e.g., FPGAs) to improve application performance.
