Physical security is an important security concern. Physical
security involves assuring that hardware is safe from natural
disaster, human misuse, and theft or vandalism.
We are fairly familiar with the concept of physical security because
we practice this to some extent in our homes. We take preventative measures
such as locking our doors and windows, installing fire alarms, and building
our homes away from a flood plane to assure that our possessions are
safe. Obviously, we also don't allow strangers to walk into our homes
and peruse our belongings.
